We are national outside counsel for Ashland Inc. In that capacity we handle all labor and employment matters, including EEOC charges and employment litigation, on a nationwide-basis. We also litigate SOX whistleblower claims and asserted workers’ compensation retaliation lawsuits. Additionally, we provide supervisor training on topics including discipline, discharges, hiring practices, workers’ compensation, ADA and FMLA interaction, etc. with the aim of avoiding costly litigation claims. Lastly, we represent Ashland in labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges related to its unionized workforce.
We represent one of the largest nursing home and rehabilitative services providers with over 250 facilities. Their matters include litigating cases in more than 35 states, including California, Kentucky, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Illinois, among others. These matters include ADA, ADEA, sex discrimination, race discrimination and all other discrimination claims. We handled purported FLSA class action cases for Golden Living in Alabama and California. We also have handled labor arbitrations in Pennsylvania and litigated matters before the National Labor Relations Board.
